Debbie and I flew Lufthansa to Frankfort, then to Barcelona.
We paid a little more for Premium Economy which gave some perks: extra legroom. We could actually reach what we had dropped on the floor
They gave us little bags with socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, earplugs, wet wipes, TV earphones.
We left Detroit at 3:30 pm, had dinner at 5ish, and breakfast at 10pm which was 4am Frankfort time. Too much food.

Can't believe an airline actually serves a meal any more.
Would not have paid for an upgrade if not directed to by seasoned overseas travelers who knew what it was like to be on a plane for 7-8 hours at a time.
Such good coffee in Frankfort. We were too stuffed to try their German pastries-maybe on the way home.
