Well.... So much for a daily blog. We haven't left much time for that.  This tablet is not as easy to navigate as my laptop.  But, I will say that we have filled our time with many sights, experiences laughs food and adventures.  Will see if I can add some interesting pictures. Lots of amazing architecture.   We were on a bus tour around the city one day and got off at Park Guell.- All picks beneath the next one.

Last night we went to Placa de Catalunya which is a large town square with 2 fountains, lots of people and activities and about a million pigeons. More pigeons are out and about during the day.  Then we walked on the famous Rambla de Catalonia- a street lined by inviting cafés and shops-more upscale. We found a restaurant about 10pm and had Tapas (small dishes of 1 kind of food each to share.) Then we stopped at a few places that served adult beverages on the way home. (I don't know why I can't arrange pictures and text in the order I would like without starting over.  Hope you can figure it all out.)

This is what I wanted to add yesterday. Debbie and I flew Lufthansa to Frankfort, then to Barcelona. We paid a little more for Premium Economy which gave some perks: extra legroom.  We could actually reach what we had dropped on the floor They gave us little bags with socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, earplugs, wet wipes, TV earphones.         We left Detroit at 3:30 pm, had dinner at 5ish, and breakfast at 10pm which was 4am Frankfort time.  Too much food. Oops! Forgot to take the picture before eating. Can't believe an airline actually serves a meal any more. Would not have paid for an upgrade if not directed to by seasoned overseas travelers who knew what it was like to be on a plane for 7-8 hours at a time. Such good coffee in Frankfort.  We were too stuffed to try their German pastries-maybe on the way home.

For some reason, I could not get the pictures from my phone to this Surface (Tablet) so I could not write or add pictures from Sunday when we arrived. Today we went to Sagrada Familiar, which is Gaudi's great Temple of the Holy Family, built during the 1800s.  Much work has gone on since.
We 3 arrived today in Barcelona. We saw the protesters, but stayed on quieter streets. By the tie we went out for dinner, we only saw a few protesters,  I am too tired to write more now as I have ben up since  7 yesterday. Will write tomorrow,

Decisions on suitcases.

This is what I took to Oklahoma when traveling on Southwest which allows 2 checked bags free.  Notice the orange yardstick with 32/33 inch bags.   (Thanks to Cherie and Linda for recommending these ultra lightweight IT bags for the trip to Hawaii and home with room for souvenirs.)  Then there was the carryon bag for camera/laptop.  Then the bag to hold my purse and magazines, snacks for the plane trip. That just isn't appropriate for this trip unless I find a pack mule.                                                      Soooo, I thought I would take these smaller bags -1 checked-27" tall, 1 carry on, 1 backpack.   That clearly is too much also. (But the tourbook said we could take 1 checked and 1 carry on.😦) Oh no, everything won't fit into the big blue one and the backpack. OK now.  Maybe I shou...
