This is what I took to Oklahoma when traveling on Southwest which allows 2 checked bags free. Notice the orange yardstick with 32/33 inch bags. (Thanks to Cherie and Linda for recommending these ultra lightweight IT bags for the trip to Hawaii and home with room for souvenirs.) Then there was the carryon bag for camera/laptop. Then the bag to hold my purse and magazines, snacks for the plane trip.
That just isn't appropriate for this trip unless I find a pack mule.
Soooo, I thought I would take these smaller bags -1 checked-27" tall, 1 carry on, 1 backpack. That clearly is too much also. (But the tourbook said we could take 1 checked and 1 carry on.😦) Oh no, everything won't fit into the big blue one and the backpack.
OK now. Maybe I should just take the bigger one instead of the two different-sized matched ones. Oh, but the big one is just too big.
Ok, Now I am down to the smaller of the 2 pictured above plus the backpack, but I don't have room for an extra set of clothes & the folder of travel info that would fit into the suitcase.......but what if it doesn't get to Barcelona with me. I definitely need another solution for carry on.
Well, it took all day, but I finally have
medium-sized suitcase and a backpack and a bag for my travel info and extra clothes. All will fit into the blue suitcase after leaving the plane. I can use the extra bag
to bring back goodies. Whew, now to finish
getting the house back in shape.
Almost time to check in for the flight.

I have spent way too much time on this, but now I know I can do this. Hope it will work ok on my Surface (tablet).
